The story of the family-owned company Montpreis started in 1991 when Janko Robič decided to start trading with wood under the hayrack. His wife Majda supported his business idea and so they starting building and broadening the company step by step, yet with joint and clear vision: offering appropriate and quality wood to the clients from Slovenia and abroad and having a fair and trustworthy business relation with them.

It all started coming true with the purchase of Bongioanni sawmill. At the same time the company was able to employ more people. We began producing several quality products which were offered to all the wood industry and furniture-producing companies from Slovenia and abroad. Many companies recognized our experiences and reliability which was resulted in long-term business cooperation. Also customers from Europe and other countries came to visit us more and more often.
Today we export to three continets: Europe, Asia and Africa and to 25 European countries.

However, there were also hard times which Janko and Majda accepted as new challenges. The economy crisis during which most of the larger wood-processing companies collapsed, encouraged them to start cooperating with Far East markets.
In the course of time their daughters, who are full of ideas and business mettle, became more and more helpful and supporting.
Aleksandra Saša, who is the head of sales and marketing, presented the company all over the world and in this way opened a new dimension and business opportunities to the company. Tjaša as a logistics manager contributes with her diligence and precision to the arrangement of the relevant business documentation and thus to the reliability of the company.

With our joint family strengths, the company expanded throughout these 30 years. Today the company employs thirteen people who are taking up challenges and creating new business opportunities together.
